Do you have any ancestors who lived and died in Newcastle NSW before 31st December 1960? If so you might like to contribute to the Pre-1961 Register of Deceased Newcastle Residents being compiled by the Newcastle Family History Society Inc. The area to be covered is the present Newcastle Local Government area

Closing dates for submissions has been extended to 31 March 2009 so there's still time for you to get started! Items are to be submitted as a story, up to but not exceeding 500 words. There's an example on the website to get you started.
